Comparing this ramen restaurant to Kaname Izakaya and Shochu Bar, I would hands-down pick this place. The decorations aren’t as snazzy but the prices, flavor and even selection are better. Although I didn’t think it tasted that fantastic, it was still satisfying nonetheless. Unlike Kaname, they gave plenty of meat and it was also lean. The soup was creamy and all the other little ingredients such as bamboo in the ramen made it just right. And how could I forget! The lightly-charred gyoza was also fantastic! Overflowing with flavor, meat and freshness! Although I didn’t try it, my brother and friends seem to always enjoy the fried rice there. So overall, the ramen is exceptional, the fried rice is known to be tastey, and the gyoza is great!

To go or not to go: If you’re looking for ramen in Seattle, this is definitely the spot! And I recommend getting the gyoza

Movie Review:
American Gangster

Based on a true story, American Gangster tells two tales about an afro-American that becomes the ultimate drug lord through the powers of capitalism and a cop who puts morals above everything else. From beginning to end, the movie had a strong foundation that exemplifies the legendary story of the real-life heroin dealer Frank Lucas. It is well made, the acting is superb and the atmosphere that the movie gives off is authentic, allowing you to sense the authoritative yet, caring aura that Frank Lucas gave off. A downsides to this movie was that unlike the movie previews, it isn’t so much an action-based-gangster movie but more so a drama. Also, I found it to be a bit too long; although I enjoyed the movie,I ended up dozing off at least 4-5 times… but that might be also because we watched it really late at night x)

My rating: 7/10
Should you watch it? - Great movie, but don’t go in thinking it’s some huge action packed gangster shootout the entire time.
